
Supervisor, Production Technician

- Lead and Champion workplace safety initiatives and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Document and report safety incidents and near-misses.
- Enforce and implement Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of HAZMAT, SDS, EPA, FDA, and OSHA compliance requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment using 5S principles.
- Directly supervise Production personnel across assigned production areas
- Conduct daily production meetings, assign tasks, and coordinate shift handovers
- Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members
- Identify training needs and coordinate skill development for production staff
- Oversee daily production activities to ensure output targets and schedules are met
- Coordinate equipment startups, shutdowns, changeovers, and maintenance activities
- Monitor production metrics and make real-time adjustments to optimize performance
- Ensure proper staffing levels and resource allocation across production lines
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement immediate solutions
- Monitor quality parameters and ensure adherence to quality standards
- Review production data and quality control reports to identify improvement opportunities
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Lead continuous improvement projects
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) activities and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for equipment repairs and preventive maintenance
- Ensure proper equipment operation and identify potential issues before breakdowns occur
- Oversee autonomous maintenance activities performed by production staff including management of spare parts inventory
- High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience with 2+ years in a supervisory role
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, automation, and control systems
- Experience with production scheduling and performance monitoring, preferred
- Knowledge of quality and food safety
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP systems i.e. (SAP), preferred
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
