As a Certified Surgical Technologist, you’ll play a vital role in supporting safe, efficient, and compassionate care for patients undergoing surgical procedures. Working under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, you’ll anticipate the needs of the patient and surgeon, maintain sterile technique, and contribute to a seamless intra-operative experience.This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong clinical judgment and a commitment to teamwork. You’ll demonstrate advanced knowledge, critical thinking, and age-specific competencies to ensure every procedure is performed with precision and care.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in surgical procedures by preparing instruments, equipment, and suppliesAnticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond proactively during proceduresMaintain sterile technique and ensure proper handling of surgical instrumentsSupport intra-operative patient care in collaboration with the RN and surgical teamDemonstrate competency in surgical case preparation and age-specific careMonitor equipment and report any concerns to appropriate personnelContribute to a safe, efficient, and respectful surgical environmentUphold Meritus Health’s values of excellence, integrity, compassion, and collaboration in every interactionMinimum QualificationsEducationHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredGraduate of an accredited surgical technology program requiredExperienceClinical experience in an acute care setting preferredPrevious experience as a surgical technologist preferredLicensure/CertificationCertified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential requiredCurrent BLS (CPR) certification required, in compliance with Meritus Health policyKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesDemonstrates knowledge of basic patient-care concepts and surgical case preparationStrong critical thinking and communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environmentCommitment to safety, professionalism, and continuous learningCaring for Our Team We are committed to supporting the well-being and professional development of our team members through a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:
