
Project Engineer

- Build strong relationships with clients, architects, and vendors to facilitate future planning and contribute to Weis Builders' ongoing growth
- Assist with material take-offs, gather subcontractor and supplier quotes, prepare project schedules, monitor the punch list process, and assist with subcontractor award processes and monthly progress billings
- Implement cost and time-saving measures, obtain necessary permits, assist with field start-up activities, generate reports as needed, manage the submittal process, and submit weekly OFIs (Opportunities for Improvement) for future projects
- Collaborate with the Project Coordinator to obtain final closeout documents, prepare project records for storage, and assist with warranty follow-ups
- Develop a solid understanding of building codes and design principles, continually improve technical and managerial skills, and assist in ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
- Ability to quickly build rapport and collaborate effectively in a team setting
- Degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related construction field
- Strong client focus with a commitment to exceeding expectations
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- A strong work ethic, professionalism, and integrity in all interactions
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to create clear, concise, and professional documents, emails, and reports
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- 1-3 years of Construction Project Engineer experience preferred
