- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or an Associate Degree of Nursing from an accredited program, college, or university.
- Alternatively, an Associate Degree with a minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience.
- Current certifications in Healthcare Provider (HCP) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
- Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience.
- At least 12 months of full-time or part-time (greater than 20 hrs/week) work as a professional Registered Nurse in pain management within the last 24 months.
- Current active and unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse in any of the 50 states.

- Provide nursing outpatient services for patients as scheduled by the Chief of Pain Management or Medical Director.
- Synthesize data from various sources and make appropriate clinical decisions.
- Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice, adhering to established policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills for patient/family education.
- Administer medications for conscious sedation and pain-related infusions under physician supervision.
- Arrange for procedures and perform telephone follow-ups.
- Set up, start, and monitor IV therapies.
- Participate in committees, functions, and meetings as directed, contributing to decision-making and process improvement.
- Adhere to Air Force medical service policies/standards, exceeding established Air Force standards for access.
- Utilize basic computer skills to enter and extract patient data from various sources.
- Possess basic knowledge of emergency procedures, ensuring prompt and appropriate care during emergency situations.
- Develop a rapport with patients and co-workers, utilizing interpersonal skills for effective education and information presentation.
- Ensure compliance with medical privacy and confidentiality standards (HIPAA), as well as accreditation standards of AAAHC, TJC, and Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs).
