Start Date: 10/06/2025 Job Description Summary:We are seeking a General Ultrasound Technologist to join Providence Health and Services on a 13-week contract. This is a first-time traveler friendly assignment (1YR/1ST TIMERS OK). The role involves performing a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures with emphasis on general sonography, vascular studies (DVT, carotids), biopsy procedures, and breast ultrasound. Responsibilities:Perform diagnostic ultrasound imaging across specialties: OB/GYN, general abdominal, vascular, neonatal, and small parts.Conduct specialized procedures including paracentesis, thoracentesis, ultrasound-guided biopsy, and fine needle aspirations.Support patient care across multiple work settings including ER, adult, pediatrics, NICU, PICU, and portables.Utilize imaging systems including Philips (preferred) and PACS.Document findings and patient care accurately in Epic (preferred charting system).Participate in on-call coverage (1 night/week + rotating weekends). Key RequirementsExperience: Minimum 1 year of ultrasound experience (first-time travelers accepted).Community hospital experience required.Expected patient ratio: 1:1.Must demonstrate competency in general sonography, vascular imaging (DVT, carotids), biopsy procedures, and breast ultrasound.On-call and weekend rotation required.48-hour work weeks are not approved.No floating between units. Qualifications Education:Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Ultrasound Technology program. Experience:At least 1 year professional experience in ultrasound.Exposure to vascular and biopsy procedures preferred. License & Certifications:Required: BLS, ARRT-Sonography OR ARDMS AB.Preferred: ARDMS BR, ARDMS FE, ARDMS OB/GYN, RDMS-Peds, NT-Nuchal Translucency, RVT. Skills:OB/GYN: All trimesters, fetal anatomical survey, placenta previa, amniotic fluid index*, nuchal translucency screen*.General Ultrasound: Abdominal aorta, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, appendix, breast, pediatric abdomen/pelvis, spleen.Vascular: Carotid, Doppler studies*, lower/upper extremity arterial & venous*, renal artery duplex*, transcranial Doppler*, arterial graft/mapping*.Neonatal & Pediatrics: Head, heart, bone lengths*, cerebellum/ventricles*.Small Parts: Thyroid, testicular/scrotum, breast ultrasound & cyst aspiration, superficial masses.Procedures: Amniocentesis*, paracentesis, thoracentesis, ultrasound-guided biopsy/FNA.Equipment: PACS, Philips* (preferred).Additional Skills: Outpatient and neonatal imaging*.ATD Technology, LLC is a certified minority woman owned business that creates opportunities to match qualified individuals with client programs while meeting all parties' financial and technical goals.
