We are seeking a Project Analyst with a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field of study and at least 6 years of relevant experience. As a Program Financial Analyst, you will be using your skills and expertise to review, monitor, and control project data in support of our internal and external project reporting consistent with requirements for Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting. You'll be responsible for preparing budgets and schedules for contract work and assisting with cost proposals, pricing documentation "what-if" cost analysis, program cost forecasts, and cost variance analysis. You'll positively impact the business by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines.Job Description
At SNC’s ISR, Aviation and Security (IAS) team we are a leading manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for high-performance intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, and aviation systems. The position will support SNC’s MAS Business Unit and require frequent engagement with executive, program, and corporate leadership. Will support specifically, the Business Unit Financial organization requiring the analysis of programmatic financial data, the creation of financial models, forecasting future performance, understanding budgets, and providing strategic insights to management by comparing programmatic actual results to planned targets, that enable informed business decisions based on financial trends and projections. Role requires fundamental understandings and acumen specific to cash, orders, revenue, and earnings (CORE). You will be strategic and trusted advisor to program teams and assist in the development of program financial forecasts, risks, and opportunities. Position will provide and prepare detailed financial reports and presentations to communicate financial performance and insights to program teams and financial leadership.Ideal Candidate Qualifications / Abilities:
  • Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
  • Study and analyze trends and forecasts to inform recommended actions.
  • Develop and continually improve budgeting, financial projections, and operating forecasts.
  • Support business unit reporting requirements tied to monthly cadence
  • Support ad-hoc business performance reporting.
  • Present monthly and quarterly financial business unit reports
  • Must work collaboratively day in and day out to establish favorable relationships and report
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports and/or projections
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and financial software
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, collaboratively at all organizational levels
  • Highly skilled in the Microsoft Office suite of products – specifically excel or similar and Project
  • Experience in or familiarity with Deltek products – Cobra and Cost Point or similar financial enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools
  • Ability to effectively convey information and ideas
  • Possesses strong financial acumen

  • Experience with Earned Value Management

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field of study and at least 6 years of relevant experience
  • A higher level degree may substitute for experience
  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Ability to effectively and clearly communicate program and financial related information
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software, especially Excel
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance required
