The Licensing Administrator is responsible for corporate and individual business license applications (initial and renewals) in jurisdictions and locations where Life Time is required to be licensed in accordance with company policy and regulatory requirements; and assisting in a back-up capacity regarding all facets of Life Time licensing as necessary.Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Tracks status of all existing company and club operating licenses and permits; may include working primarily in the areas of Kids Activities, Life Time Academy, and Yoga Teacher Training.
  • Renews existing company and club operating licenses and permits to ensure these are current and in good standing.
  • Interacts daily with regulatory authorities in coordinating the timely preparation, submission and processing of applications to meet strict regulatory requirements and business deadlines.
  • Builds working relationships with business departments to understand business requirements and to collect and verify complete and accurate corporate and individual information required to complete business license applications.
  • Manages invoicing and requests checks for licenses and permits.
  • Regularly audits existing licenses and permits to ensure timely renewal submissions.
  • With the support of the Licensing Operations Manager and Senior Licensing Administrator, interacts with internal stakeholders across the company (e.g., Legal, Licensing, other functional business units, and club Team Members) and local and state regulatory agency representatives to prepare and process submission of licenses and permits.
  • Supports other areas of the Licensing function as needed and commensurate with experience and interests.
  • Keeps up-to-date with changing laws and regulations that affect area of work. ​
  • Maintains organized files and completes licensing data entry for all corporate and executive filings and related documentation/information.
Cross trains with the licensing team and process renewals.Position Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience in a related field
  • Proficient computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications; particularly: Excel and Word, proficient in Adobe Acrobat
  • Strong communication skills, able to work independently yet be team oriented
  • Customer focused; dependable; understands sense of urgency; excellent interpersonal skills; adept at planning and organizing
  • Ability to multi-task – high volume of license applications and renewals with strict regulatory requirements and deadlines
  • Help streamline processes and possess a “can do” attitude
  • Skilled at establishing and nurturing trusting and supportive relationships
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse group of people in varying settings
  • Strong attention to detail with regards to completing quality, accurate and timely applications
  • Strong writing, grammatical and punctuation skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and shift gears when necessary to meet changing circumstances
  • Superior administrative and organizational skills
  • Thrives with on-the-job training and thinks outside of the box to address challenges in a rapidly growing business environment
  • Ability to operate printers, copiers, and fax machines to file, photocopy, and scan documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • College degree preferred
  • Some relevant post-secondary course work, or comparable learning experience
  • Experience using LicenseHQ is ideal, though not required
