Job Summary/General Purpose of Job
  • Provides administrative and programmatic support to an assigned area.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities (listed in order of importance and/or time spent)
  • Provides full range of administrative and clerical functions.
  • Provides programmatic support that may include, but not be limited to, editing, proofing, elementary desktop publishing, conducting basic research, supporting members and committees, supporting marketing activities, and meeting planning.
  • Establishes, selects, implement, modifies, and coordinates all office administrative services to optimize service delivery.
  • Complies basic operational reports and assists in the maintenance of the department’s budgets.
  • Orders and maintains supplies and, where appropriate, arranges for equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
Required Education, Qualifications, Experience
  • Possession of a high school diploma or GED.
  • At least three years’ experience providing administrative support in a business setting.
  • Basic level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns).
  • Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: opening a workbook, inserting a row, selecting font style and size, formatting cells as currency, using copy, paste and save functions, aligning text, selecting cells, renaming a worksheet, inserting a column, selecting a chart style, inserting a worksheet, setting margins, selecting page orientation, using spell check and/or printing worksheets).
Preferred Education, Qualifications, Experience
  • Possession of an Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
Physical Requirements
  • Typical office work environment.
Extent of Travel Required in the Job
  • As a normal course of business, this job will typically require travel of up to 15% of the time.
