
Facilities Operating Engineer

- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and adjust equipment to minimize service interruptions and downtime
- Execute maintenance and repair work for boilers, HVAC equipment, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, and building infrastructure
- Perform complex operating procedures for high pressure steam boilers, lab utilities, emergency generators, and fire pumps
- Monitor water chemistry in various systems and make necessary adjustments
- Maintain mechanical spaces for safety and housekeeping to be audit-ready
- Respond to emergencies, identify problems, and take corrective actions
- Review and complete work orders, logs, and documentation in the BMS CMMS
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and JLL policies
- 3x2 rotation: Alternating between day and night shifts every two weeks
- Day shift: 7am - 7pm
- Night shift: 7pm - 7am
- 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Overtime is required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Ability to work independently and plan work without direct supervision
- Skills to operate electric hand tools, work on ladders, and lift heavy loads
- Ability to operate required equipment and motor vehicles
- Physical capability to perform maintenance tasks
- Working knowledge of building automation and system controls
- Experience with HVAC/R systems and boilers
- Proficient computer skills
- Ability to provide guidance and mentoring to tea
- Regular hourly rate: $30.77/hr (based on 2,080 hours per year)
- OT hourly rate (1.5x): $46.16/hr
- Annual OT value: 208 hrs × $46.16 = $9,601.28
- Total minimum compensation: $64,000 + $9,601.28 = $73,601.28
- Regular hourly rate: $35.10/hr (based on 2,080 hours per year)
- OT hourly rate (1.5x): $52.65/hr
- Annual OT value: 208 hrs × $52.65 = $10,951.20
- Total maximum compensation: $73,000 + $10,951.20 = $83,951.20
