- Ensures employees are accounted for and that all team members work safely and efficiently, while producing quality products for our customers.
- Plans and directs production activities and assigns priorities to operators to achieve schedule attainment.
- Works as One Team regardless of position, shift, or assigned job to ensure Grip-Tites success.
- Monitors the ongoing performance of production staff. Provides coaching where needed and partners with HR regarding coaching and / or disciplinary action.
- Is focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence in all manufacturing cells.
- Leads daily production meetings to ensure employees receive proper communication regarding – schedule changes, safety, housekeeping items, known quality issues, new standard work practices, machining issues, etc.
- Ensures effective use of labor utilization and ensures cross-training is completed to ensure production continuity.
- Leads team members professionally and fairly ensuring that all team members are given an opportunity to succeed.
- Enforces company policies consistently and holds team members accountable to production standards and retrains as necessary.
- A minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience with a several years in a managerial or leadership position directing the work of others.
- Must possess effective communication and problem-solving skills.

- Must be able to hold team members accountable in the areas of attendance, safety, quality, and productivity.
- Should possess technical knowledge; have a sold understanding of basic functions of equipment and process flow.
- Must partner with other departments to deliver on business goals and objectives (quality, engineering, maintenance, etc.) and find solutions to problems.
- Ability to come to work on a regular and consistent basis.
- Ability to wear proper PPE at all times required on the production floor.
- Maintains a positive attitude even when the going gets tough.
- Strives to learn and build on training received to reach production goals.
- Must be able to learn to read blueprints and interpret work instruction.
- Must take pride in work output and the work environment - taking care of equipment and facilities.
- High school diploma or GED
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering field preferred

- Must be able to work much of the working shift on your feet (with the exception of break and meal periods).
- Must be able to work onsite in a manufacturing plant environment with heavy equipment and machinery.
- Ability to work in hot/cold temperatures on production floor based on temperature changes.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be expected to work inside a manufacturing environment with regular exposure to changing temperatures (hot, cold, humid), moving mechanical parts, dust, fumes, chemicals, and loud noises. The noise level in the work environment can be loud; vibration levels are moderate.
- Must have the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. periodically.
- Nearly all production/manufacturing cells require active bending, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motion on a regular basis.
