Job Description:Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd shiftPay Range: $21.00 - $24.00Hours: 2PM-1030PMReports To: Maintenance Supervisor/Assistant Director of FacilitiesJob SummaryWorks under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor/Assistant Director of Facilities and performs a wide variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks in response to work orders, routine and preventative maintenance, repair, and test and inspect.Areas include, but are not limited to, carpentry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and emergency systems. Work is to be completed in a workmanlike manner, in accordance with established maintenance policies and procedures.Expectations:1. Completes work orders and projects in a timely and workmanlike manner, consistent with industry standards2. Follows through on assigned work orders and projects to completion, utilizing a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to enter and close out work orders.3. Regularly identifies and reports necessary facility and equipment repairs or other issues to manager.4. Able to work independently and seeks additional work when assigned work orders and projects are completed.5. Learns and follows instruction and policies established by management and according to established industry standards.6. Flexible in covering other shifts schedules as needed.Essential Functions1. Receives and follows maintenance schedule/instructions from supervisor as outlined in established maintenance procedures.2. General duties include, but are not limited to:a. Carpentry: repair, patch and paint various structures and equipment (i.e. walls, floors, roofs, picture/tv hanging, etc)Repair and maintenance of doors, windows, locks and closures to ensure proper operation and the security of the facility.b. Plumbing:Repairs, replaces or installs various plumbing system components in residential and commercial environments (i.e. water, sewer and drain lines, valves, faucets, toilets, etc)Prepares and installs various sizes of plumbing pipelines and fixtures.Removes blockages using appropriate tools and materials (i.e. hand and electric drain cleaner machines, plungers, chemical treatment, etc)c. Electrical:Maintenance to, repair, or replacement of various components (i.e. switches, outlets, fixtures, ballasts, bulbs, sockets, fuses, appliance cords, etc)Install, repair or replace appliances (i.e. refrigerators, stoves, washers and dryers, etc)d. Maintain, test and inspect electrical, mechanical and plumbing equipment (i.e. pumps, boilers, chillers, domestic/hydronic water systems, fire alarm systems, emergency generators, etc)3. Performs preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance on facility equipment. Ability to troubleshoots is desirable.4. Operate Masonic Homes vehicles as needed/required (i.e. utility cart, pickup truck, forklift, etc.)5. Check and respond to safety and security issues.6. Maintain clean and orderly work space.7. Assist in tracking inventory, report to manager when materials or parts need to be ordered.8. Performs other duties as assigned.OBRA & Title 22 requirements

Requirements:Minimum Requirements
  • Must have previous experience in building maintenance with working background to include some electrical, plumbing, and pumps, HVAC. Ability to troubleshoot equipment, or repair
