Position Summary
This role will oversee complex, first-of-a-kind projects supporting the design, fabrication, and deployment of advanced SMR technology. This role leads diverse, cross-functional teams to deliver high-value projects on scope, schedule, cost, and quality targets, while driving customer value and compliance with industry regulations. Projects include multiyear, non-recurring development efforts with significant commercial value and high technical risk.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead planning and execution of assigned projects in alignment with organizational policies and procedures.Develop and maintain baselines, earned value planning, and a Project Management Plan.Communicate project requirements, progress, and priorities clearly to team members and stakeholders.Manage risk, resolve issues, and escalate challenges when necessary.Provide weekly and monthly performance reports, including earned value metrics, variance analysis, schedule/cost risk mitigation, and issue resolution.Authorize and assign work packages, ensuring qualified resources are allocated for project execution.Develop and maintain project-specific plans and procedures to ensure efficient execution.Maintain high standards for quality, safety, and timely delivery.
Minimum QualificationsBachelorÂ’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline.10+ yearsÂ’ experience in project management or related field, managing complex, multi-interface projects.Strong knowledge of nuclear development environments related to NSSS and reactor design regulated by the U.S. NRC.Background in NSSS (Nuclear Steam Supply System), ASME codes, and I&C (Instrumentation & Controls).Demonstrated application of PMI Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) principles.Proficiency with integrated cost and schedule control, including Earned Value Management (ANSI EIA-748-C).Project management experience in nuclear, energy, or power plant A/E or EPC environments.Leadership experience on a licensed nuclear design project, including knowledge of Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) designs.Eligible under DOE 10 CFR Part 810 requirements.
Preferred QualificationsProject Management Institute (PMI) PMP certification (or equivalent).Advanced experience leading plant or major construction management.Demonstrated success building consensus across cross-functional technical teams.
