- Follow all Triple-S Steel safety procedures and immediately report any unsafe conditions or incidents to a supervisor.
- Relocate, load, unload, and stage steel materials—including plate, pipe, and other metal products—safely and efficiently, in accordance with company procedures and without damaging materials.
- Safely operate a variety of equipment and tools, including but not limited to: tape measure, caliper, CNC burning table, band saw, shear, iron worker, track burner, haven tube cutter, forklift, and overhead crane.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for all tasks.
- Perform frequent material handling, including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds for distances up to 20 feet and to heights of 5 feet.
- Exert 25–50 pounds of force frequently, and 10–20 pounds constantly to move or position materials.
- Navigate safely around a busy work environment with multiple moving parts, maintaining strong spatial awareness and orientation.
- Maintain clear vision for both near and far distances to remain aware of work activities and surroundings.
- Work in a variety of conditions, both indoors and outdoors, and in all types of weather (heat, cold, rain, wind, etc.) consistent with local climate.
- Attend and actively participate in all required company meetings and safety briefings.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and facility operations.
- Ability to correctly read and understand work orders and/or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
- Ability to effectively use basic computer applications.
- Demonstrate intermediate math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
- Ability to safely meet or exceed minimum productivity levels established by the Company.
- Ability to effectively plan and organize work activities independent of direct supervision; work alone and in a team environment.
- Develop a good working knowledge of material and inventory control techniques and procedures.
- Ability to maintain ongoing inter-department communications related to routing, safety, and customer relations.

- Employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms.
- Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
