
Supplier Project Engineer

- Manage supplier performance through application of project management tools, cost, schedule, submittal/deliverable, and risk oversight.
- Facilitate supplier selection activities with requests for proposals (RFPs) and team review/selection processes in conjunction with the Contract Administrator through the full bid, evaluate, and award phase.
- Support development of statements of work (SOW), specifications, and project planning to execute supplier projects to meet program objectives.
- Support development of Commercial Grade Dedication and equipment qualification activities in accordance with relevant standards.
- Collaborate with internal technical and commercial teams to ensure fidelity to contract and technical direction with supplier.
- Coordinate technical review process of supplier deliverables/submittals to ensure appropriate and timely responses.
- Manage interfaces between Suppliers and technical, legal, and procurement teams.
- Maintain awareness of supplier technical capabilities, organization changes, and relationships to ensure positive feedback.
- Participate in supplier audits, surveillances, and surveys at supplier facilities.
- Technical degree + 4 years' experience (6 years experience in lieu of degree) in supplier oversight or project management, including managing cost and schedule of Safety Related manufacturing or construction.
- Technical degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, nuclear, systems, or civil engineering preferred.
- Demonstrated skills in the management of suppliers, including supporting contractual/commercial aspects of customer/supplier relationships.
- Previous experience in technical interface with engineering groups for review and input to supplier activities.
- Experience defining supplier scope, including development of statements of work and requests for proposal.
- Experience in qualification of components and Commercial Grade Dedication.
- Strong communication and coordination skills desired.
- The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect, and a desire to foster teamwork.
- PMP certification or equivalent training preferred.
