- Assist the Volunteer Manager with recruitment efforts to attract individual, community, and corporate volunteers.
- Maintain volunteer schedules across various programs, ensuring adequate coverage and alignment with organizational needs.
- Serve as a key point of contact for volunteers, responding to questions and providing timely communication.
- Facilitate volunteer orientation sessions and provide relevant materials about The Just One Project's mission and programs.
- Assist with training preparation and the distribution of tools and resources to volunteers.
- Contribute to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and positive volunteer environment.
- Support recognition efforts by helping to organize appreciation events and maintain regular acknowledgment practices.
- Collect and track volunteer feedback and participation data using platforms such as Volgistics.
- Collaborate with staff to understand program needs and assign volunteers accordingly.
- Support the coordination of corporate group volunteer events and ensure a smooth experience for participants.
- Help ensure volunteer compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and safety practices.
- Identify and report volunteer issues to the Volunteer Manager and assist with resolutions as appropriate.
- Assist with special projects and community engagement events as needed.
- Represent The Just One Project at outreach events and promote volunteer opportunities to the public.
- Any other job duties as assigned.
- 1+ years of experience in nonprofit organizations (required)
- 2+ years of experience in volunteer operations, or related fields (required)
- Familiarity with community services and socio-economic challenges of target populations.
- Sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic diversity.

- Strong verbal and written communication.

- Experience with Volgistics (Preferred).
- Clear and concise report preparation.
- Ability to speak confidently in front of large groups (60+ people).
- Must attend six mandatory 'Pop Up & Give' events per year
- Must possess valid unrestricted driver's license and reliable transportation
- Must possess or be willing to obtain a valid Food Handlers Card
- Ability to sit, use hands and fingers, talk or hear continually.
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, push, pull regularly and for extended periods of time.
- Ability to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch regularly.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, etc. efficiently and on a regular basis.
- Ability to work in fast paced active environment
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Frequently exposed to various controlled and uncontrolled weather conditions
