If you’re seeing this role posted for a while, it’s because we’re continuously hiring to support our growing team.What You’ll Actually DoEnsure seamless network functionality and experience for clients by addressing issues raised via tickets, phone calls, emails, and/or in-person consultations.Address urgent networking requests as they arrive, such as resolving IP conflicts, managing DNS settings, or modifying DHCP configurations.Conduct on-site visits to client offices for hands-on network diagnostics, installations, and troubleshooting.Clearly articulate technical concerns to clients, ensuring they understand potential problems and the proposed solutions. Recommend improved network practices when applicable.Act as project manager for installs and overhauls to business network fabric, surveillance systems, and VoIP phone systems.Coordinate with equipment vendors and service providers to ensure optimal network performance and resolution of issues.Research, test, and implement technologies from new vendors to ensure HG best practices stay current.Provide network support during off-hours, ensuring uninterrupted network services for clients.Provide help desk support for clients with on-call rotationWhat You Bring to the TablePrevious experience: 2 - 3 years as a network engineer or in a related role.Strong orientation towards customer serviceAdvanced problem-solving skills - Ability to see “big picture” and identify ways to stop recurring problems; Recognition of what you do not know and ability to ask for helpA self-starter naturePassion for technology - Excitement about uses of technology for social good, the ever-changing devices available, and/or new platforms to implementEagerness for professional development - Curiosity to expand your technical knowledge with the support of Hansen Gress (we will provide training!)What You’ll NeedAbility to pass a basic background check for airport security badgingDriver’s license (or willingness to get one) and the ability to drive.
