Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Automation Engineering Technician to join a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company. This role involves performing calibration, commissioning, installation, and troubleshooting of instruments, process control systems, and equipment. You will ensure regulatory compliance by applying your knowledge in automation and measurement technology, aiming to complete work on time while identifying and executing improvements to equipment, processes, and work instructions.Responsibilities
- Perform calibrations of a variety of inspection, measurement, and test equipment according to detailed calibration work instructions.
- Record results in a Computerized Maintenance Management or Calibration Data Management System.
- Identify out-of-tolerance conditions and perform corrective actions such as adjustments, component replacement, and correction factors.
- Maintain equipment by providing troubleshooting to ensure reliable performance, including adjusting, repairing, and replacing components like sensors, cables, connectors, and control boards.
- Monitor PLC or HMI program logic during certifications or troubleshooting to understand deviations from proper operation.
- Use and maintain primary, secondary, and/or working calibration standards.
- Ensure work order documentation is completed accurately and completely.
- Identify waste, workflow interrupters, and other opportunities for improvement, recommend solutions, and assist with implementation.
- Identify opportunities to learn new skills and actively participate in development to improve team performance.
- Work in a highly productive and efficient manner to increase the quantity of completed activities.
- Ensure work is appropriately communicated to system operators and key partners.
- Experience with calibrations, including pressure transmitters, airflow measurement, temperature pressure, and speed/process parameters.
- PLC troubleshooting in Allen Bradley.
- 2+ years of electrical troubleshooting experience.
- Associate's degree in Electrical/Electromechanical Engineering.
- Familiarity with calibration and maintenance management systems.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E, electrical safety standards for workplaces.
