
VAS Area Manager

- Providing production/labor planning with status updates to VAS Director, VAS Project Managers and VAS Coordinators.
- Review quality and performance KPI's daily to ensure Safety, Quality and productivity goals are met.
- Facility AIB / SQF / Gemba style walk through at assigned sites weekly at a minimum
- Monitors and enforces productivity levels in the department.
- Communicate with internal and external clients/vendors as needed.
- Review departmental and production processes for continuous improvement
- Sourcing supplies and materials.
- Communicate / coordinate VAS activities with site Warehouse Managers
- Reporting of all revenue
- Attending all strategic leadership meetings on a weekly basis.
- Review and verify department P&L
- KPI Tracking
- Maintaining and documenting maintenance of all equipment.
- Ensure that performance reviews, training modules and goals are documented and completed as scheduled.
- Special projects as assigned / needed.
- Management skills and the ability to manage a staff of employees.
- Hire, Train, Coach, Mentor and hold VAS staff accountable.
- Ability to lead or support IT modification projects.
- Ability to maintain an organized, neat and orderly operation as it pertains to VAS.
- Ensures that all project and client KPIs are met or exceed expectations
- Requires knowledge of reporting requirements as it pertains to VAS.
- Good communication, problem resolution, and people skills.
- 5 or more years of Warehouse and / or Production Management experience
- Ability to report/track trending and historical data.
- Must have strong business writing and case analysis skills.
- Experience in Inventory Control, Production and Warehouse processes.
- Computer skills, including Word, Excel (spreadsheet), Power Point, and ability to learn application software used in the Company.
- Experience in facility safety and safety training.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must be articulate and comfortable speaking in front of others.
- Regularly work in an indoor/office and production / assembly environment
- Must be able to work under stressful situations, have good cognitive skills, maintain work accuracy, and the ability to concentrate on more than one task at a time.
- Must be able to speak and communicate clearly
- Must be in sound physical health as determined by a certified licensed physician with no evidence of the use of controlled substances.
