Savantage Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Financial Manager to join our professional services team in support of a government agency's Comptroller Organization. In this role, you will work directly with the Chief of Financial Operations to provide financial reporting, analysis, and administrative support. The ideal candidate will be able to independently contribute to financial execution initiatives, such as analyzing unliquidated obligations (ULOs), maintaining financial tracking systems in SharePoint, and supporting fiscal year-end closeout activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual to grow their financial management skills in a dynamic and mission-focused environment.Duties and Responsibilities:The Junior Financial Manager will support the Chief of Financial Operations in delivering key financial and administrative functions within the Comptroller Organization. Primary responsibilities include:
  • Providing financial management reporting, analysis, and process improvement support
  • Delivering administrative assistance to ensure the smooth operation of the Comptroller Organization
The ideal candidate will be expected to work independently and apply sound judgment in supporting financial execution initiatives. Specific duties may include:
  • Performing ad-hoc analysis of Unliquidated Obligations (ULOs) to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions
  • Managing and updating a SharePoint site that tracks de-obligations of expired funds, including data extraction from financial systems and OSD’s ADVANA platform, and coordination with agency budget analysts
  • Participating in meetings focused on improving fiscal year-end closeout processes and documenting key findings
  • Maintaining and updating organizational SharePoint content to ensure accurate and current information
Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:Candidate must have:
  • A secret clearance
  • DoD experience desired
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience
  • Basic Understanding DoD financial operations
  • Intermediate Knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint with capability and desire to improve those skills
Education and Certifications:Bachelor’s DegreeCompensation$75k - $90k (based on the National Capital Region)The pay range for this job level at Savantage Solutions serves as a general guideline and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
