This is a full-time, onsite position offering Fortune 500-level benefits including health, dental, vision, PTO, 401(k), and life insurance.The Marine Corps Recruiting Command (MCRC) requires an Enterprise Architect to guide the strategy, planning, and technical execution of its Recruiting Command Enterprise Network (RCEN) modernization. The EA Lead provides vision and leadership to align IT systems and services with mission objectives while driving adoption of cloud technologies, Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA), and enterprise-wide compliance. This role integrates cloud, on-premises, and hybrid solutions into a cohesive architecture that is secure, cost-effective, and scalable for future growth.Required Qualifications:U.S. CitizenActive Secret or Top Secret clearanceBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field preferred10+ years of IT architecture and federal enterprise systems experienceMust have one or more of the following: CISSO, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, GCIA, GCLD, GCSA, GICSPPrimary Responsibilities:Strategic cloud migration planning: Develop detailed blueprints for migrating applications, data, and services from on-premises to cloud (Azure GovCloud and other DoD-approved CSPs) with minimal disruption to operations.Security architecture & Zero Trust: Design and maintain security frameworks that implement ZTA principles, ensuring all access is authenticated, authorized, and encrypted in accordance with USMC, DoN, and DoD directives.Compliance & governance: Establish policies, controls, and best practices to ensure cloud and hybrid architectures remain compliant with applicable regulations, security standards, and Marine Corps governance requirements.Integration oversight: Ensure interoperability across on-premises RCEN systems, Office 365, MCRISS Next, and cloud environments; manage transitions without degradation of service or accessibility.Reusable frameworks: Develop and maintain enterprise-level patterns, templates, and best practices for consistent, repeatable, and scalable deployment of cloud-based and hybrid services.Cost optimization: Monitor and analyze cloud spending; identify opportunities for cost savings; implement resource utilization strategies to reduce total ownership costs.Risk management: Identify risks and threats to RCEN cloud and ZTA initiatives; provide mitigation strategies and recommendations to MCRC leadership.Vendor and CSP evaluation: Assess and recommend cloud service providers (Microsoft, AWS, etc.), offerings, and emerging technologies that align with MCRC’s operational and budgetary needs.Roadmap development: Create a multi-year migration and modernization roadmap that details milestones, timelines, and resource allocation across cloud, ZTA, and enterprise systems.Training & knowledge transfer: Deliver training plans, documentation, and workshops on cloud and ZTA principles to MCRC staff, enabling smooth adoption and sustainable operations.Reporting & deliverables: Provide input for Weekly/Monthly Status Reports; deliver Cloud Migration Plans, Enterprise Cloud Governance Framework, Cloud/ZTA Roadmaps, and Training Materials as required by the PWS.Powered by JazzHR
