- Set up and operate uncoiler and recoiler controls and arms and other slitter related equipment.
- Assist operator on operation of slitter and packaging equipment.
- Properly tag customer size on cuts and package according to written and verbal instruction.
- Follow all safety procedures while operating and assisting on equipment. i.e. coil cart, banding tools, overhead cranes, forklifts.
- Assist where needed when slitter is not running.
- Maintain proper housekeeping in work area.
- Must follow all safety protocols.
- HS Diploma or GED required.
- Must have strong mechanical ability and aptitude with some relevant experience preferred.
- Ability to operate basic hydraulic and electrical controls.
- Must be able to perform basic math and understand decimal and fraction conversions.
- Ability to understand and perform trained quality of material and work per specifications.
- Ability to run an overhead crane or competence for training.
- Ability to operate a forklift or competence for training.
- Ability to understand how to run all banding equipment.
- Ability to produce quality products within a reasonable time frame.
- Ability to understand work order instructions and perform work required.
- Able to be standing for the entirety of work time.
- Able to lift 50 pound continually throughout shift.
- Able to work in hot/cold, dusty/dirty environments.
