- Performs electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical work activities required to produce Apex products.
- Assemble, test, repair, replace equipment and parts as required.
- Effectively document equipment issues and repairs.
- Research parts, replacements, and new methods for repair of production equipment.
- Recognize, set up and operate hand and power tools common to the electrical mechanic trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
- Maintain equipment in good working condition and report all safety/maintenance concerns.
- Moves materials within the work area.
- Adheres to company policies and procedures to produce a quality product/service.
- Reports unusual conditions or questionable items to supervisor.
- Obeys all safety rules and regulations.
- Keeps work area clean and orderly.
- Maintains records as required.
- Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Electrical and/or mechanical certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years related work experience required.
- Experience with 480v electrical equipment installation and repair.
- Demonstrated mechanical and electrical ability.
- Demonstrated ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair PLCs.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electrical equipment such as photo eyes, sensors, servo motors, AC/DC circuitry, etc.
- Ability to continuously lift and move up to 50lbs.
- Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
