Job Title: Kafka Technical ArchitectLocation: Plano, TXDuration: Full timeJob Description:Must Have Technical/Functional SkillsKafka Architecture & Framework Design: Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and reliable Kafka-based streaming architectures, including creating topics, producers, consumers, and schemas aligned to dynamic business requirements.End-to-End Kafka Setup & Deployment on AKS: Hands-on expertise in full-stack Kafka setup on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), covering configuration, monitoring, resilience, logging, and secure DevOps deployment pipelines.Cosmos DB Integration & Data Flow Design: Strong working knowledge of integrating Kafka with Azure Cosmos DB (preferably via Kafka Connect or custom consumers) while ensuring optimal data modeling, ingestion speed, and fault tolerance.Code Development with Best Practices: Ability to translate business logic into modular, maintainable Kafka producer/consumer code (Java/Spring Boot preferred) using architectural best practices (e.g., schema registry, error handling, retries, logging, and security).Leadership & Solutioning: Capable of driving technical leadership-analyzing requirements, designing frameworks, mentoring developers, and addressing cross-functional concerns (scalability, security, observability) for a production-ready streaming data platform.Roles & ResponsibilitiesDesigning and implementing scalable, secure, and reliable Kafka-based streaming architectures meeting Customer requirements.Integrating Kafka with Azure Cosmos DB (preferably via Kafka Connect or custom consumers to load the required data for the Application.Translate business logic into modular, maintainable Kafka producer/consumer code.Identifying and resolving technical issues and design flaws, proactively addressing potential risks and vulnerabilities.Enforce best practices and standards to ensure optimal performance of pipelines.Providing guidance and mentorship to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
