- Employee Onboarding
- Manage onboarding processes to ensure new hires are equipped for success
- Meet with local new hires to collect documents and assist with onboarding as needed.
- Enter and maintain employment data in company systems and update physical files accordingly.
- Employee Relations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits and workplace issues.
- Promote a positive workplace culture through proactive communication and conflict resolution.
- Assist in the development and implementation of employee engagement programs.
- Enforce disciplinary procedures when needed.
- Mediate conflicts between staff
- Address employee complaints or grievances.
- Manage employee accommodation requests.
- Benefits Administration
- Administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans and leave policies
- Educate employees on available benefits and address questions or concerns.
- Compliance and Policies
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Update and maintain company policies and procedures in accordance with legal requirements.
- Support audits and reporting requirements as needed.
- HR Systems Management
- Maintain and update HR information systems
- Generate reports and analyze HR data to support strategic decision-making.
- Other Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the HR team on initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Support training and development programs.
- Assist with payroll processing and resolving payroll-related inquiries.
- Handle requests for verification of employment.
- Compile reports and prepare spreadsheets.
- Assist in other duties and projects as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in an HR role (specialist, generalist, or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment laws, and best practices.
- Organized, accurate and thorough
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Dependable, able to follow instructions and respond to management direction.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to learn new programs and processes quickly
- US Citizen or Permanent resident status (must be able to pass a Federal Government background check)
