- Prepare and process electronic cash application files.
- Prepare and key enter manual cash application transactions as necessary.
- Reconcile customer payments with detail account balances as necessary to resolve discrepancies.
- Analyze customer import files to determine reasons for failed imports into A/R system.
- Communicate effectively with other D&H departments, primarily Credit department reps for various customer accounts.
- Research miscellaneous payments / checks received to determine the appropriate department / account.
- Prepare daily A/R-Cash Collection Summary report for distribution to D&H management.
- Process miscellaneous checks for customer refunds.
- Temporarily assume duties of co-workers when out of office.
- Keeps work area neat, clean and hazard free.
- Must work in other areas, as needed for cross training and/or workload.
- Detail oriented with ability to organize and prioritize various tasks.
- Strong MS Excel skills and ability to adapt to various computerized accounting systems.
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- Ability to process transactions with accuracy, in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Exhibits sound judgment and problem-solving abilities
- Minimum of high school diploma required. Associate's degree in business related field is a plus/
- 2-4 years' related experience in a professional environment is preferred.
