The Department of General Services is looking for a Lease Contract Specialist 2 to negotiate contracts and manage an enterprise lease portfolio for all Commonwealth agencies. Your hard work will deliver efficient operational space to our agency customers, all while serving as a responsible steward of taxpayer dollars.DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a Lease Contract Specialist 2, you will be responsible for developing, negotiating, and managing complex real estate lease agreements that support Commonwealth agencies and align with their strategic goals. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including agency leaders, legal counsel, and real estate professionals, evaluate leasehold improvements, and ensure lease terms meet operational and financial requirements. Additional functions include preparing detailed reports, presenting lease actions to the board, researching lease rates, conducting market analysis, and completing site visits to help improve leasing policies and procedures.Interested in learning more?   • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. You will be required to report in-office at minimum one day per month. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • One year of experience as a Lease Contract Specialist 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year of professional experience performing lease contract or property management work; and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:
  • You must possession and maintain an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
Additional Requirements:
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
  • Experience with lease contract negotiations
  • Knowledge of lean management
