- Identify sources of supply and obtain competitive pricing for items.
- Evaluate and award bids to selected vendor(s).
- Establish and maintain commodity contracts.
- Monitor vendor performance.
- Interpret purchasing policies to vendors and Judicial Branch employees.
- Utilize past usage data to project future needs and budget funds required.
- Produce month-end reports.
- Prepare and issue solicitation documents (i.e. Request for Quotes, Invitation for Bids).
- Conduct sealed bid openings, review and provide recommendation of award for approval.
- Familiarity with Chart of Accounts and Cost Centers
- Review requisitions for justification, determine availability of funds, and create purchase orders using the NC E-Procurement System and procurement card transactions.
- Problem resolution with vendors, ensuring proper budget coding, tracking and reporting purchase transactions; and other procurement duties as assigned.
