This goal extends to how we hire and onboard our most valuable assets – our employees.Why This Role Matters:The Data Analyst position is a member of the Print Services/Content Generation team reporting to the Associate Director, IT Print and Reporting. This position resides within the Information Technology organization of the company. This role will be positioned within a highly collaborative team responsible for the delivery of a dynamic document creation, data transformation and data system solution created in-house. The Analyst will focus on the implementation of data transformation logic, the assemblage of content objects, and mapping processes for an internal document creation solution; as well as the ongoing design, development and management of both future and existing solutions. This work will include ongoing daily support of production process, development, and maintenance of the current data models, and key support of reporting strategy, data governance standards and data quality. The position is a hands-on role responsible for working in collaboration with Business System Analysts as well as Quality Assurance Analysts to build out productionized content that supports Operational needs.How You’ll Contribute:
  • Involved in the design and ongoing support of the data model, analyzing the data, implementing requirements, testing builds, and working with developers through implementation all in support of generating customer focused content.
  • Coordinates with technical and non-technical resources, both external and internal, to standardize data feed delivery format and schedules.
  • Implement data quality rules to ensure that all data sources are consistent and accurate.
  • Collaborating with testing resources to ensure the integrity of all database applications, data warehouse, and data transformation programs.
  • Develop detailed prototypes to help flush out requirements and provide the end-users improvements in their process.
  • Works directly with business users and IT to assist in support of the systems and solutions. Balances the timely support of the production environment with the longer-term delivery of ongoing maintenance and enhancements.
What We’re Looking For: ​
  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Computer Science, Finance, or Accounting/Investment Accounting; or experience using technology in a corporate setting, commensurate with degree; or bootcamp/non-traditional pathway to technology accepted.
  • Working knowledge database development and modeling (SQL Server or Oracle).
  • Proficient with programming languages: SQL and C-Sharp required; VB, Java, R, Python accepted.
  • Experience with Content Composer (a Hyland software product) preferred.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, as most applications used within the system are developed in-house.
  • 1+ years working in a data focused environment; preferably with experience in the insurance industry, with a familiarity of insurance data concepts.
  • Experience managing multiple projects
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as the larger team is geographically dispersed.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and solve problems and issues of all types.
  • Ability to establish positive relationships and work effectively with all departments and affiliates to ensure integration of strategic goals and principles.
