Senior Laboratory Science Professionals perform duties in laboratories where chemicals, drugs, or other materials or biological matters are tested and analyzed.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with and support Principal Investigators (PI) and other stakeholders with laboratory and research functionsAssistance in the management of the cell bank, properly organizing samples in the software, and communicating with other researchersUtilize a variety of laboratory techniques required for research projectsCulture tumor cell lines, as well as primary T cells from mouse/canine peripheral blood. Ficoll isolation, culture/expansion, and manipulation of these cells.Multicolor Flow cytometry (FACS)Murine models of cancer, IP, retroorbital, and IV injections, collecting blood, harvesting organs, IVIS imaging, and processing samples for flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry.qPCR, cloning, maxiprep, transfection/transduction of T cells, protein/RNA extraction, single cell sequencing, and microscopic cell imaging.Cytotoxicity assays using Incucyte, luciferase, and impedance assaysPerform experiments, tabulate, and analyze researchSupport analytical testing process using standard lab support knowledge in the collection and review of conditions, including preserving samples, completing sample preparation, documenting, and communicating resultsPerform pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical test process and evaluate the results producedPrepare lab for daily operations, including stocking materials, equipment, safety, cleanliness, and related areasProvide animal care related to research studies, as necessaryWork Location:On-site – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, Colorado.Why Join Us:The Hematology/Oncology/Bone Marrow Transplant Section within the Pediatrics Department is nationally recognized for providing excellent consultation, clinical care, and surgery for children and adolescents with cancer and blood disorders.
