We are seeking an experience Scale Operator in Wilmington, DE to join our winning team. We offer steady work, above average wages with weekly pay for those with the skills and knowledge to help our clients achieve their goals.Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, some weekend workLocation: Wilmington, DE 19809Pay Rate: $18.00/hr-$19.00/hrThe Scale Operator is responsible for using a computerized scale to weigh incoming and outgoing vehicles. This position requires computer proficiency, and our ideal candidate has prior experience with trucking and industrial workplace safety.Scale Operator Responsibilities:
  • Operating primary (large) and secondary (small) scales.
  • Creating and closing tickets on secondary, small scale.
  • Scheduling pallet trailer swaps, metal, and Waste Management open top swaps.
  • Processing freight invoices.
  • Managing all inbound traffic from Gray's Ferry, including monitoring tons.
  • Corresponding with suppliers when necessary.
  • Maintaining a safe, organized working environment.
Scale Operator Experience:
  • 1 year of prior scale operation experience preferred.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in trucking or in an industrial yard environment.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Perform other duties as directed.
