
Technician I (Electronics)

- Modify electrical or electronic equipment or products for repair / diagnostic purposes
- Light troubleshooting of failures in IID's (circuit adjustments, recognition/replacement of defective components)
- Read manufacturing outlines for electronic products
- Read and understand schematics
- Read and understand specifications
- Proficiency in SMT as well as Through-Hole soldering
- Ability to work on multiple device types without assistance (cross training)
- Use hand and power tools
- Use precision measuring tools and precision diagnostic equipment
- Ensure high standards of quality are achieved and maintained on all product types that they are cross trained on
- Ensure data collection accuracy for data analysis
- Follow instruction from Supervisors
- Ability to make appropriate judgement calls when deciding the correct course of action during troubleshooting operations
- Ability to work occasional overtime as determined by production scheduling
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Associates Degree or Equivalent in Electronic Course Track - Preferred
- 2-5 years' experience in Electronic Troubleshooting - Preferred
- Fundamental computer skills for diagnostic testing - Preferred
- IPC A-610 Class I Certification - Preferred
- Ability to work with moderate supervision - Preferred
- Experience soldering circuit boards - Preferred
- Hand soldering experience - Required
- Color Vision (Needed to see colored LED's and wires) - Required
