We encourage you to visit our website at www.loenbro.com to learn more about our organization and who we are.Position Overview: Loenbro Industrial Services Group is looking for initiative-taking individuals willing to work hard and grow in the position of General Laborer / Helper. This individual will assist welders in a shop fabrication environment with such tasks as: cutting, grinding, and prepping materials. Candidates should be willing to assist with sandblasting and painting operations and obtain certification to operate overhead cranes and forklifts when necessary.Must be able to pass company pre-employment and random drug and alcohol tests.Job Duties:
- Moves work pieces, tools, and supplies, manually or by hand truck.
- Ability to follow directions closely.
- Lift, move, and hold, work pieces into position as directed.
- Maintain current timecard, daily time sheet.
- General clean up and supply duties on jobsite.
- Use PPE properly while on job sites (hard hat, safety glasses, etc.).
- Follow all company standards.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- GED or High School Diploma.
- Ability to work from ladders and scaffolds.
- Skilled in math which includes adding and subtracting fractions.
- Lift & carry objects and materials of various weights.
- Ability to periodically lift and carry up to fifty pounds for short distances.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle & have a Driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights)
- Lifting necessary equipment and materials 1-50 pounds, 50% of the time monthly for required tasks.
- Walking on uneven terrain, with an average of two miles per day
- Ability to frequently stand, sit, stoop, crawl, and kneel.
- Use of respirator if position requires.
- Driving if required to travel.
- Able to pass preliminary and periodic drug testing requirements.
- Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures
- Manufacturing, pipeline, and refining environment
- Fit and move in confined spaces including tanks and vessels.
- Limited working surfaces
- Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors
- Exposure to areas with limited visibility
