- Healthcare Facility: Level II Trauma Center, 340 beds
- Unit: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: September 15, 2025
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1810$1950
- Shift: 10 Hour Days, MondayFriday; blocked schedule requests available for weekend rotation
- On Call: Every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday, 7:00 AM 7:00 PM)
- Hours per Week: 40 hours per week (36 hours guaranteed; orientation week may vary)
- Float Requirements: May float to Med Surg or ICU; may assist as an aide in other units
- Scrub Color: Royal blue
- Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing required
- Active Kentucky or Compact RN License
- AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of CVICU nursing experience
- Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience required
- EKG test required during compliance process
- Experience with Care View/EPIC charting preferred (training provided)
- COVID vaccine required (medical/religious declinations accepted with weekly testing)
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork skills preferred
- Provide expert nursing care to CVICU patients in a Level II Trauma Center
- Monitor, assess, and respond to complex cardiovascular conditions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Float to other inpatient units as needed, supporting Med Surg and ICU teams
- Participate in weekend and holiday rotations
- Maintain accurate documentation using Care View/EPIC electronic health records
- Adapt to evolving patient needs and unit requirements
