The Service to the Armed Forces/International Services Director manage programs and services requiring social services and organization assistance. Plan, schedule, direct, and implement overall goals and objectives. Oversee the work assignment and performance of staff and volunteers. Develop and manage the budget. Represent the Red Cross and promote services and programs to the communities assigned. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State and local regulations. This role is not eligible for relocation assistanceWHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities):1: Provide overall management, including program design, staff, budget, and service delivery. Ensure quality and consistency by holding staff accountable for adhering to policies and procedures and for meeting qualitative performance standards. Routinely evaluate and monitor inbound and outbound calls. Assure adherence to budget and manage finances in a fiscally responsible manner.2: Perform functions impacting volunteer and paid staff including recruitment, selection, placement, training, utilization, timekeeping, performance evaluation, recognition, retention, promotion, transfer, and dismissal.3: Serve as a local point of contact and problem resolution for external partners and vendors.4: Cooperate with other SAF Center sites on matters related to load sharing, rerouting calls due to training, staff shortages, or surges.5: Develop and deliver training programs to maximize potential of individual employees and in support of Red Cross policies, departmental procedures and job duties.6: Generate and interpret system reports reflecting case-related statistics such as call volume, call abandonment rates, staff availability and workload, and other required reports. Coordinate with other site managers of activity to identify trends, develop solutions, and recommend and implement any needed improvements.7: Develop and implement direction, guidance and procedures to ensure smooth operation of the division. Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.Scope: Interpret and administer policies, process, and procedures that may affect sections and subordinate unitWHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):Education: Bachelor's degree required.Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.Management Experience: 3 years of supervisory or management experience.Skills & Abilities: Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong skills in planning and problem-solving. Capable of directing and working effectively with donors, volunteers, staff and committees in a wide range of activities while under pressure and/or deadlines. Ability to manage multiple projects.Detail oriented, extensive organizational skills and excellent follow-through ability. Intermediate level proficiency with MS Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience in using an electronic customer relationship (CRM) or Case Management System (CMS) or similar customer centric relational database. May require flexibility to work in a 24x7 environment. May require the ability to work non-standard work hours and weekends. Ability to work on a team.Travel: Travel may be required.
