This is a Full-time position on 2nd Shift (2:30pm-11pm)Why You’ll Love This PositionYou will get to be the face of The Missouri Botanical Garden during your shift. You may interact with Garden employees, visitors, vendors, and donors. Under general supervision performs and maintains the internal and external appearance of the Garden. Paid training will be provided to ensure you are ready and prepared to enjoy the visitors of The Missouri Botanical Garden.What You’ll Do (Highlights)
Perform general daily housekeeping duties
Event Set-up duties require setting up tables, chairs
Remain alert, courteous, and helpful to visitors and employees at all times
Ensure that all recycled compost and landfill materials are placed in the correct containers
Reports all accidents, injuries, and near-miss accidents immediately to your supervisor
Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, washing surfaces, emptying trash, and other duties as assigned
What You’ll Need For Success
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Must have the ability to pass a background screening and motor vehicle report (MVR) to meet minimum insurance underwriting criteria.
Be willing to learn new procedures
Present a professional attitude at all times under scrutiny of the general public
Meet productivity standards
Ability to read instructions and to understand the label on cleaning products
Ability to multitask in a sometimes fast-paced environment
Ability to lift 30-60 pounds
Ability and willingness to work in varying temperatures and all-weather conditions
Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
