Job Description:Women’s Buyer - ManagerSalary – Non-ExecutiveDepartment: 20-RetailPrimary Responsibilities:· Mapping and implementing the buying plans for respective retail outlets.· Ability to envision and execute selling floor merchandising presentations to maximize sales across multiple outlets.· Commitment to follow Open to Buy and reconcile invoices.· The ability to lead and motivate Retail Team Members according to company and department policies and procedures.· Ability to make decisions and adapt to change.· The ability to set goals and complete them.· The natural ability to anticipate Guest needs and Team needs.· Excellent organizational skills.Secondary Responsibilities:· Follow all company and department safety policies.· Conduct product knowledge and selling techniques training with Team Members.· Ability to document and coach employee performance.· The ability to take direction and constructive criticism from supervisor.· Knowledge to create a vision to set up a shop and display merchandise in an appealing manner.· Ability to demonstrate teamwork within respective areas, department, and company.Normal Working Hours:· Normal hours – 5-6 days a week, 8am to 6pm. Some evenings and weekends; Holidays. Flexible according to business needs. Travel required (up to 24hrs) for trade events and to worksite. Shifts and days may vary according to business demands.Travel:· The Buyer-Manager is required to travel to appropriate industry markets and showrooms to view and purchase merchandise. This is expected to be approximately four trips per year, each spanning 4-5 days.In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate must meet the following criteria, in addition to the Greenbrier Servie Standards:Past Work Experience Requirements:· 3 to 5 years leadership and management experience.· 3 to 5 years Retail Buying experience.Educational Requirements:· High School Diploma.· Retail management training preferred.Communication Skills Requirements:· Good written and verbal skills (purchase orders, coaching forms, memos, documents, interacting with guests, staff, retail vendors, retail control/accounting, and salespeople).Technical Requirements:· Able to operate and understand the POS system.· Knowledge of Retail Accounting procedures.
