We’re seeking a creative, compassionate, and driven Young Adult Programming Coordinator to lead dynamic, person-centered programming for our medically complex young adult residents. If you excel at creating inclusive, empowering experiences that enrich lives, this is the opportunity for you.A Day in the LifeAs the Young Adult Programming Coordinator, you’ll bring energy and innovation to therapeutic day programming and enrichment activities for residents of the Kosair for Kids Complex Care Center. You’ll work alongside interdisciplinary teams to design and deliver engaging, safe, and person-centered experiences that promote independence, community involvement, and joy.How This Position Contributes to our MissionDesign and lead individualized and group therapeutic enrichment programs, including aquatic therapy, community outings, and seasonal activities.Support residents’ behavioral and emotional needs using de-escalation techniques, creativity, and problem-solving.Collaborate with families, caregivers, and team members to align programming with resident goals and preferences.Supervise and coach Resident Enrichment Specialists in delivering high-quality, consistent experiences.Ensure enrichment activities are safe, well-documented, and meet federal, state, and facility regulations.Skills and QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field strongly preferred.Experience supervising and/or working therapeutically with medically complex children or young adults.Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.CPR/BLS certification required (provided upon hire).Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; must be willing and able to drive large wheelchair-accessible vehicles.Comfortable working in a physically active environment and providing hands-on support.What You’ll Receive as a Valued Team MemberA trauma-informed environmentComprehensive benefits packageGenerous leave time401(k) with employer matchTraining and certification opportunitiesProfessional development opportunitiesWho We AreHome of the Innocents is a 145-year-old non-profit, dedicated to supporting children and families in our community.
