- Assemble, install, maintain, and pressure test all pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, drainage, and gas systems according to specifications and plumbing codes.
- Determine sources of plumbing malfunctions and complete repairs as indicated or according to work orders.
- Install and repair pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, and plumbing system equipment, including sinks, commodes, water heaters, water softeners, etc.
- Repair gas/water utility lines and drainage that serve applicable appliances (dishwashers, kitchen equipment, fireplaces, etc.).
- Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean.
- Detect needed repairs on buildings, grounds, and equipment following established inspection procedures.
- Carry out regular maintenance and installation of plumbing systems, addressing issues such as plumbing system cleaning, cracks, damages on pipes, wear and tear of pipes, grease and soap build-up, and toilet repair.
- Inspect previously installed plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
- Apply current safety regulations and requirements for various plumbing systems.
- Follow all current regulations for plumbing work to ensure that all installed systems pass inspections.
- Manage a work log and keep detailed reports of work done at various job sites, providing documentation regarding the plumbing system.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least five (5) years of related plumbing experience required.
- Good working knowledge of water supply, heating, and ventilation systems.
- Must be able to successfully pass a federal background screening and drug test.
- Licenses: If required in the state of Georgia, provide a copy of completed plumbing licenses.
- Strong technical skills in plumbing system design, installation, and maintenance.
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for quick and efficient problem resolution.
- Ability to lead and manage multiple plumbers effectively.
- Thorough understanding of plumbing codes and safety regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining clean work areas.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills for maintaining work logs and reports.
