This role involves assisting residents with activities of daily living, medication reminders, and social and spiritual pursuits. Assist residents with activities of daily living including but not limited to; bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and medication reminders in accordance with care plans and established community policies and procedures.
Assist residents with lifting, turning, transferring, positioning, and transporting into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc.
Assist with dining room services at assigned mealtimes, including set-up, clean-up, meal tray delivery, feeding assistance, and documentation of meal intake.
Monitor the residents’ physical and cognitive wellbeing and report changes to the nurse and supervisor.
Deliver nutritional supplements to residents at assigned times and provide resident assistance as needed to ensure intake. Document intake per community policy/procedure.
Participate in life enrichment programming and providing meaningful activities to residents.
Document resident care timely and accurately.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Comply with all policies and procedures and any updates.
Position RequirementsEducation: High School Diploma/GEDLicenses/Certifications: Certified Nursing Certification may be required depending on state regulationsExperience: 1+ years of paid or volunteer experience working with seniors preferredSkills & Abilities:
Ability to demonstrate patience and compassion in working with the elderly.
