- Managing Personnel:
- Ensure mechanics are aware of plant breakdown priorities.
- Assign preventive maintenance (PM) tasks and projects to mechanics and schedule downtime when necessary.
- Identify training needs and communicate them to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Report attendance updates or issues to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Coach assigned employees to aid in their development.
- Managing Technical Assignments:
- Support mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Interpret mechanical plans and wiring diagrams.
- Troubleshoot, test, and assist with the commissioning of equipment systems and electronics.
- Conduct PM audits.
- Performing Daily Tasks:
- Oversee all maintenance projects, PMs, and breakdowns during the shift.
- Manage central stores, including fixing, signing out parts, and making reorder requests.
- Lead Maintenance meetings before and after the shift.
- Prepare and provide a daily downtime cause code report.
- Complete special assignments or duties as required.
- Coordinate work with internal and external employees and contractors.
- Ensure all work is done safely and according to Company Work Instructions and SOPs
- Associate's degree in related field or 5 years or more experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must be able to work well in a team setting.and with little to no supervision
- Ability to correspond and communicate via electronic systems.
- Must be able to apply basic to intermediate math concepts.
- Systemic troubleshooting methods to solve complex manufacturing problems.
- Apply common sense understanding, to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Regularly work in a contamination control environment using the required PPE.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, crawl, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, hear, and lift/move/transport objects up to 40 lbs.
- Visual ability to see 20 inches to 20 feet with or without corrective lenses.
- Must be able to distinguish wiring colors.
- Must be proficient in reading, writing, and comprehending English.
