A maintenance technician is responsible for conducting general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures in the best possible condition for the customer to reach project and/or job goals. This position involves little interaction with robots, experience is preferred but not required. Training will be provided before starting at the customers facility.Position Notes:
- Gabletek is looking for a self-motivated and technically savvy individual who can work alone as well as in a team environment to apply for this position.
- The ability to communicate, both written and orally in the work environment is a must.
- Submit proper customer and Gabletek paperwork required for billing as required.
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Office applications.
- Please note performing the duties of this position requires the employee to move in and around tooling, stand for long periods of time as well as climbing ladders regularly.
- The applicant will be required, as needed, to load parts into tools, they must be able to lift at least 25lbs.
- Maintenance Techs will be responsible for keeping the robots up and running. They will not be programming from scratch but need to be able to get the robots back to "home" or up and running
- Follow all customer and plant safety protocols.
- Knowledge of Electronics, Electrical Circuitry, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Mechanics, Mathematics and related skills in the design, build, test, troubleshoot, repair, program and modification of automated equipment such as (but not limited to) programmable controllers, sensors, computers, measuring devices, scanners and related automation equipment and associated machinery.
- Performs other related work as directed. Responsibilities to provide professional, skilled labor as needed to perform any task including installation, repair or fabrication within a reasonable amount of time.
- Recommend changes and corrections in circuitry, programs, controllers, sensors and so forth to simplify or improve processes, procedures or safety.
- Writes technical reports, develops charts and diagrams schematics to describe and illustrate operating characteristics.
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints, technical manuals and work instructions.
- Must be able to work independently with a minimum of direct supervision.
- Must be familiar with proper lock out/tag out procedures.
- Must be familiar with proper confined space procedures.
- Must be able to perform facility repairs. Will be expected to perform normal repairs without step-by-step directions.
- Must be willing to work any shift and 6-7 days per week.
- Dismantles and/or repairs machinery and equipment using various hand and power tools. Moves machinery.
- Basic tools and toolbox will NOT BE PROVIDED.
