Kforce has a client in San Antonio, TX that is seeking a hands-on Network Engineering Manager to oversee the daily operations and strategic direction of our enterprise network infrastructure. This role is ideal for a technically strong candidate with CCNP certification, experience managing small teams, and deep knowledge of Cisco technologies. Familiarity with Aruba, Juniper, Palo Alto firewalls, and hybrid cloud environments is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and mentor a team of 3-4 network engineers and technicians
  • Lead configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Cisco routing and switching environments
  • Support and optimize Palo Alto firewall deployments and Juniper network components
  • Assist with Aruba wireless and switching technologies as needed
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of cloud-premises hybrid networks
  • Ensure high availability and performance of network services through proactive monitoring and incident response
  • Maintain documentation, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures
  • Collaborate with IT leadership to align network strategies with business goals
  • CCNA certification required; CCNP preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 1-2 years in a team lead or managerial role
  • Experience managing networks across multi-site environments
  • Familiarity with cloud networking, especially Azure, is a plus
  • Solid understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), VLANs, VPNs, and network segmentation
Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Palo Alto firewalls
  • Juniper networking equipment
  • Aruba wireless and switching (preferred)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
