- Actively participating in scoping, leading, and delivering customer consulting engagements through the whole services lifecycle
- Develop newer Group Producers as an asset, while working with established Group Advisors
- Increase external network to contribute to the community and to capitalize on business opportunities and responsible to deliver on the up-sell strategy within assigned territory
- Insurance Consultants will focus 80% of their time on relationship management/sales generating activities, and 20% on responding to inquires
- Handle calls (inbound and outbound), to maximize sales performance and retention targets through the provision of effective and efficient communication and negotiation skills
- Liaising with clients all year round, including but not limited to, account management, surveys & research and lead generation
- Provide the customer with relevant product information that is clear, fair, and not misleading allowing them to make an informed decision
- Assist with coordinating the workload, ensuring adequate distribution of the work among available staff
- High School Diploma, college degree highly desired
- 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry with a firm working knowledge of Life, AD&D and disability benefits with a basic understanding of risk and insurance concepts preferred
- Underwriting/pricing experience for life and disability group insurance benefits preferred
- RFP experience and thorough understanding of FMLA and ADA
- Flexible to work in the Plano office, hybrid or virtual.
- Worked in the 500+ employee size segment,
- PowerPoint proficient. EXCEL proficiency required
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize and scale in a fast-paced environment
