The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing complex aerospace projects, managing infrastructure upgrades, and optimizing manufacturing processes. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of aerospace industry standards and practices.Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management:
  • Lead and manage multiple aerospace projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion within budget and quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, resource allocation plans, and risk management strategies.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain management.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Implement and maintain project management best practices and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Identify and resolve project issues and conflicts, escalating when necessary.
  • Infrastructure Upgrades:
  • Assess current infrastructure and identify areas for improvement and modernization.
  • Plan and oversee the implementation of infrastructure upgrades, including facilities, equipment, and technology systems.
  • Collaborate with IT and facilities teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies and systems.
  • Develop and manage budgets for infrastructure improvement projects.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards during upgrade processes.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and equipment to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Manufacturing Optimization:
  • Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with production teams to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
  • Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure adherence to aerospace industry standards.
  • Oversee the integration of new manufacturing technologies and automation systems.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement data-driven strategies for process enhancement.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Mentor and guide project team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Identify skill gaps within the team and implement training and development programs.
  • Promote a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical preferred)
  • 3+ years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment.
