While holotomography is a well-established technique, there is significant potential to improve the acquisition schemes for dynamic imaging and the reconstruction methods currently in use.The successful candidate will contribute to these advancements, developing new computational methods to enhance the imaging of dynamic processes. This work will facilitate the comprehensive characterization of microelectronics under various conditions, including thermal, mechanical, and radiation stresses. The software developed through this project will become part of a new holotomography software package actively being developed by the team.Position RequirementsRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:PhD (recently completed or soon-to-be completed within the last 0-5 years) in computational science, mathematics, physics, or a related field with a focus on image processing.Proven experience in algorithm and software development.Expertise in Python programming.Strong oral and written communication skills.Excellent collaboration and teamwork abilities.Ability to model Argonne’s core values of impact, safety, respect, integrity, and teamwork.Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:Proficiency in mathematical analysis and operator theory.Experience working with microelectronics.Experience in conducting synchrotron experiments and analyzing experimental data.Experience in GPU programming.Job Family PostdoctoralJob Profile Postdoctoral AppointeeWorker Type Long-Term (Fixed Term)Time Type Full timeThe expected hiring range for this position is $70,758.00 - $110,379.55.Please note that the pay range information is a general guideline only.
