Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise-scale desktop virtualization solutions. The engineer will work onsite in Malvern, PA, contributing to mission-critical initiatives around remote application publishing, secure access, and hybrid virtualization deployments.ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and support Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) infrastructure, including RemoteApps delivery.Manage and optimize AVD session hosts, FSLogix profiles, image creation, autoscaling, and monitoring.Implement and enforce security best practices with Azure AD, Conditional Access, MFA, and Intune integration.Troubleshoot end-user issues related to AVD, authentication, performance, and networking.Collaborate with internal IT and business units to support application publishing requirements.Work with Citrix virtualization in AWS alongside AVD in Azure for hybrid environments.Leverage Nerdio Manager for Enterprise to streamline AVD deployments and administration.Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.Provide capacity planning, performance monitoring, and cost optimization recommendations. Required Skills7+ years of IT infrastructure experience, with 3+ years focused on virtualization/cloud.Proven expertise in Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), RemoteApps, FSLogix, Azure AD, Intune.Experience with Citrix (AWS-hosted or on-prem).Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills.In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and enterprise networking.Familiarity with Nerdio (preferred).Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills. Preferred ExperiencePrior Vanguard experience or background in large-scale financial services environments.Exposure to Windows 365 Cloud PC.Hands-on work in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, pharma).
