
Federal Work Study Psychology Research Assistant

- Identify and locate valid, scholarly sources (books, journal articles, interviews, etc.) representing a range of perspectives in psychology.
- Read and critically analyze selected sources.
- Summarize key points and extract relevant excerpts.
- Format and organize sources for integration into curriculum materials.
- Assist in preparing resource materials for 100 and 200 level psychology courses.
- Maintain accurate records of sources and summaries.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Experience with academic research or literature review.
- Familiarity with APA formatting and citation styles.
- Enrolled as a student and maintaining Satisfactory Academic Progress.
- Has passed Introduction to Psychology (PSYC101).
- Excellent reading, writing, and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze and summarize scholarly material.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Students must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours each semester.
- Students must be making Satisfactory Academic Progress as determined by the Financial Aid Office.
- Students must have a current and completed FAFSA on file.
- Student must demonstrate financial need.
