- Support the creation of diverse communications materials, including drafting press releases, pitch letters, and feature articles for our internal publications.
- Play a key role in coordinating media interviews, acting as a liaison between university experts and journalists to facilitate smooth and effective media engagements.
- Craft engaging social media content to highlight university events, breakthrough research findings, or key leadership announcements, expanding our digital footprint and audience engagement.
- Expand our digital footprint and audience engagement by crafting social media content that highlights university events, breakthrough research findings, or key leadership announcements.
- Help the team measure the impact of our communications efforts and refine strategies for future outreach by compiling and analyzing media coverage reports.
- Contribute to Emory’s campus by helping organize memorable university events.
- Dive into a wealth of professional development opportunities, broadening your horizons and building your network.
- Collaborate on a campaign project from conception to execution.
- Available for 20 hours each week during the summer 2024 semester.
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree (B.S., B.A., M.A., or M.S.) with a GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Demonstrated excellence in writing and presenting.
- Strong relationship-building and client service skills.
- A detail-oriented and organized approach to tasks.
- An interest in writing, public relations, and/or public health.
- Experience in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- A positive and professional attitude.
- Experience with media relations and/or social media is a plus.
