The salary range for this position is $56,176.00 - $92,690.00/year, and our starting hiring range is $57,000 - $60,000/year, based on experience and education. This is a full-time, limited position with an expected end date of December 31, 2024.An additional bilingual stipend may be available in this role.LocationThe City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.In this position you can expect to work on site at the Wellington Webb Municipal Building, 201 W Colfax Ave, Denver, CO 80202, at least three days a week, with possibility of five days a week, including all staff meetings.What You’ll DoThe Agency for Human Rights & Community Partnerships ( ) is the umbrella agency for is the umbrella agency for seven offices, one division, and ten advisory commissions, which all offer distinct services related to empower the community’s diverse groups. HRCP is the model of inclusiveness, recognizing that diverse perspectives, skills, and resources strengthen the foundation for lasting solutions.HRCP’s Denver Office of Immigrant & Refugee Affairs ( ) promotes greater awareness and integration of immigrant and refugee residents in Denver through advocacy, policy development, research, and community engagement. The office began its work in immigrant integration in 2005, and has led a comprehensive and strategic effort to build community engagement and partnerships in the non-profit sector and develop government policy to address the needs and capitalize on the assets of our immigrant and refugee communities. This work is dynamic and constantly changing due to community needs, system opportunities or barriers and political realities.Specifically, as the Immigration Application Workshop Coordinator for HRCP, you will:
  • Lead and facilitate the planning and implementation the of Immigration Application workshops. Develop outreach materials such as flyers and PowerPoint presentations, including facilitation of the translation of such material as necessary. Workshop outreach to individuals, partners, and staff by means of email, social media platforms, Google phone and text messaging, in-person. Deliver follow-up surveys to group participants to measure the effectiveness of immigration application workshops. Support/Lead the development of training materials where applicable and as needed for the workshop, including communicating the workshop process flow to relevant volunteers/partners. Ensure the delivery of needed materials for the workshop, including printed materials and any necessary equipment (e.g. printers, tech equipment) to the workshop site.
  • Serve as a central point of contact for relevant public volunteers, nonprofits, legal service providers, government partners, and city partner agencies involved in or participating at the workshop.
  • Support with conducting volunteer orientations and serving as one of two onsite leads helping volunteers and/or partners troubleshoot any issues that arise on the ground.
  • Delegate all volunteer assignments and duties as needed. Leading up to the workshop, delegating duties to volunteers and other partners, providing clear direction. Maintaining a clear line of communication with assigned volunteers and partners including city partner agencies before, day of, and post-workshop
  • Complete Reporting and Documentation Requirements for Legal Immigration Workshops. Maintain a record of dates, locations ands, number of volunteers and volunteer hours worked for each workshop. Manage the list of names and contact information of individuals attending the workshops as well as the names and affiliation of partner agencies preparing these presentations. Maintain a record of number of individuals attended or served per workshop, data reporting of individuals served, volunteer participation, and individual outcomes and referrals to workforce opportunities.
  • DOIRA administrative assistance. Participate in relevant Agency meetings and/or trainings. Actively pursue development of professional competencies related to job role performance through reading, supervision, in-service training and attendance at conferences and workshops.

  • Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred
  • Current valid Driver’s license and use of a registered and reliable vehicle

  • Experience with program evaluation and in grant reporting
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, experience communicating with diverse communities. Public speaking experience, community outreach
  • Prioritize work efficiently and effectively and meet deadlines, ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong public service and community mindset. Experience in trauma-informed and immigrant-centered services. Empathy and maintain confidentiality, demonstrate behaviors and attitudes which support agency mission, philosophy, and policies
Required Minimum Qualifications
  • Education requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Management, Sociology, Psychology, Political Science, or a related field.
  • Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of professional or technical level experience planning the administrative aspects of a program(s) or training program participants and/or volunteers. (Some positions may require experience in a specific program area.)
