Senior Attorney - Wage and Hour

- Manage a substantial docket of complex wage and hour cases from inception through resolution
- Handle all aspects of class action and collective action litigation including FLSA claims
- Take and defend depositions in federal and state courts
- Support and attend mediations and settlement conferences
- Prepare cases for trial and arbitration (trial experience preferred but not required)
- Draft complex motions, briefs, and other litigation documents
- Supervise and mentor junior associates assigned to your cases
- Provide guidance and training on wage and hour law and litigation strategy
- Conduct regular team meetings to review case progress and strategy
- Assign tasks and provide clear direction to junior staff and paralegals
- Collaborate with dedicated paralegal support for case management
- Participate in weekly lead assignment rotation with other senior attorneys
- Evaluate potential cases and make strategic recommendations
- Communicate effectively with clients throughout the litigation process
- Work with intake department on pre-qualified leads ready for case development
- 10-12 years of litigation experience with significant focus on employment law
- Proven team management experience including supervision and mentorship of junior attorneys
- Extensive wage and hour law expertise including class actions, collective actions, and FLSA claims
- Strong deposition experience both taking and defending depositions
- Exceptional writing abilities with experience drafting complex litigation documents
- Mediation experience supporting or attending settlement conferences
- Leadership skills with ability to run team meetings and manage case assignments
- Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills with clients and colleagues
- Trial or arbitration experience (helpful but not required)
- Experience with appeals process
- Multi-state litigation experience
- Boutique firm background preferred
- California bar admission (or willingness to obtain)
- Competitive salary: $180,000 - $250,000 based on experience
